good news is they are getting back on the road. My brother, and mother in law both have post diesel gate TDIs. the price/mileage/2 year warranty is such a good deal. And after driving my brother in law’s manual TDI Golf Sport Wagon I kinda of wished I had waited to buy a newer car, and got one of those.

then I remember that my car isn’t FWD and forget about that.

the only problam they’ve had is on my BIL’s when the dealership installed the DEF system the missed a gasket so it had an exhaust leak at first. I got real dizzy sitting in back seat for a 3 hour drive.

I mean, only the environmental impact is really sad. Are they going to recycle the cars, or what?

One could have so much fun doing a spec race series with all those cars.

I don’t think they’re fed the liquid glass yet, right?

A lot of them are being fixed and resold with a really good extended warranty . Most of the ones that aren’t new enough to resell are likely going to be recycled for parts—remember, there are a lot more gasoline examples than diesel ones on the road, and most of the non-engine/emissions parts are interchangeable.

What’s the verdict on ‘15-’16 Toura erueueregg TDIs?

Carvana has a bunch in the $35k range with <50k miles.

That reminds me, w hatever happened to the guy that stripped his Golf and found out that VW wouldn’t accept it? I remember David Tracy met up with the guy and had a blast driving the lightened chassis around, but did the car ever get put back together again?

I believe those were all more complex fluid filters from the start,  and the Dieselgate issues were with all the models that didn’t have fluid filtration. Could be wrong though...

Oh, I just guessed at the year.

The buyback wagons apparently haven’t been fixed yet.

Looks like the 3.0 TDI in them had the same cheating software that the 2.0 TDIs had.

Sorry, I thought you meant the V10 tdi. I usually forget the Touareg went beyond the first gen.
